Approaching computation as a site of collective reckoning, she uses code to parameterize and transfigure sound in unreal time, extending improvisational dexterity across mutable architecture. Through procedural impromptu, her work traces the interval between imagined sound and realized consequence, foregrounding gestural memory through runtime thought. Harris holds a B.A. in Computer Science and Music from Yale University and is currently pursuing an MFA in Design Media Arts at UCLA. She teaches at the School for Poetic Computation and Gray Area, was a 2024 Processing Foundation Fellow, and has created commissioned work for Cycling ’74 and Code.org. Her performances have been presented at the Getty Museum, TivoliVredenburg, and MoMA PS1, as well as by Dweller Festival, Sónar+D, and the International Conference on Live Coding.
